The Spirit of the Rocks ☆
During long walks on the beaches of Saint Jacut de la Mer, in a solitude somewhat forced by events, I had to relearn how to look at this landscape that I had known as a teenager. The sea, the sand, the rocks.
After more than a quarter of my life spent under the Californian sun, it was the rocks that caught my eye, these lunar beings. They are the ones that anchored my mind, gave my inspiration its impetus.
The questions that followed, esoteric in nature, revealed mysteries that I tried to unravel through painting... Do rocks have a soul, are they inhabited by a spirit? The answer I would give is certainly 'yes'.
