About

Olivia Barratier is a French, British, and American artist who established her career creating images for the film industry before dedicating herself full-time to oil painting.

Her creative journey began the day she left Paris, hitchhiking to Dublin, where she studied visual arts and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Art & Design with a specialization in Visual Communications.

She created film posters for cinematic giants such as John Boorman, and for Warner Bros., Sony, and Universal Productions. She worked on approximately fifty film productions as an editor, poster designer, and creative director.

Alongside her professional projects, Olivia devoted herself to expressing her personal creative world through painting, drawing, and collage, drawing from her journals, which chronicle her life during her adventures from Paris to Dublin, New York, Montreal, and Los Angeles.

Olivia is pursuing studies in drawing and painting at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, and is creating a short film entitled ‘It All Started with a Lie,’ which chronicles her journey.

For the artist, oil painting reveals a poetry and magic that offer her imagination a gateway to the teeming mystery of the world. Her style is rooted in landscape, the universe, and nature, and she strives to capture all their vibrations in her colors and compositions.
