Spirits of the Rocks

Over long walks on the beaches of Saint Jacut de la Mer, in a somewhat forced loneliness due to current events, I had to relearn how to look at this landscape that I had known as a teenager. The sea, the sand, the rocks. After more than a quarter of life spent under the Californian sun, it was the rocks that caught my eye, these lunar beings. They are the ones who anchored my spirit, gave my inspiration its impetus. The questions which followed, of an esoteric nature, revealed mysteries that through painting I have tried to elucidate ... Do rocks have a soul, are they inhabited by a spirit? The answer I would give is certainly 'yes'.
